James & Brandee Golnick

Owners/Funeral Directors/Licensed Funeral Celebrant

We grew up in southern Minnesota and were married in 1998. After having three kids, we decided to pursue our calling as funeral directors and attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg. We graduated in 2011 with degrees in Mortuary Science. While attending college we had our fourth child, we then moved to Port Byron, Illinois where James worked at Gibson-Bode Funeral Homes for six years. Brandee worked at River View Veterinary Service and at Gibson-Bode Funeral Homes during that time.

We moved to Kewanee, Illinois in April 2017 to be a part of the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home. We aquired Haskell Funeral & Cremation Services in Princeville and Wyoming in December of 2025.

Our youngest attends Kewanee Schools. Three have graduated from Kewanee High School. They all enjoy swimming, music, sports, and our family pets.

James enjoys playing disc golf, camping, and wood working.

Brandee enjoys reading, crocheting, and quilting. She is also a Certified Funeral Celebrant.

Nicole Reed

Managing Funeral Director/Embalmer/Licensed Pre-Need Agent & Certified Funeral Celebrant

I grew up in Lovington, a small town in central Illinois, before moving to DuBois, Pennsylvania with my family in 2015 for my senior year of high school. I married Devon Reed from Princeville in August of 2018, and we are happily living in Wyoming with our sweet, boxer-lab mix dog, Piper, and cats, Skeeto and Toothless.

My junior year of high school is when I realized that my calling was to be a funeral director. I graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in September 2016, served my apprenticeship under the mentorship of Bert Haskell and am now a licensed funeral director/embalmer. In April of 2019 I attended the training to become the funeral home's second Certified Funeral Celebrant. I am truly honored to have been nominated and chosed as a recipient of the WEEK 25 Women in Leadership Award in 2020.

In November of 2022 I published a funeral pre-planning and informational guide, "In the Event of My Death" to help walk people through the many questions they may have about funeral service, while making it easy for them to document their wishes.

I am becoming involved in the community as I grow my life here in these small towns. I joined the Wyoming Lions Club in 2018 and am the former 2020 and 2021 president of the Wyoming Chamber of Commerce. I am also currently serving on the Illinois Funeral Directors Association Board of Directors as the Region 2 Representative for the 2025-2027 term and previously for the 2023-2025 term.

I can often be found with my dogs on our walks around Wyoming, or playing out front of our house. We also love to take Piper out on our boat to go fishing, even though she can't swim and needs a lifejacket!

I could not be more honored to have this opportunity that has been given to me. I love these communities and call Wyoming my home. I look forward to being able to proudly serve the communities of Princeville, Stark County, and Kewanee.

Jake Martin

Jake Martin

Funeral Director/Emblamer

I joined the firm in late 2025. I graduated from the Carl Sandburg mortuary science program in 2020, earning my associates degree in mortuary science. I had served my apprenticeship throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, giving myself a vast out of the box perspective of what funeral service can be. At the time of my joining the firm, I have around six years’ experience of being a funeral director and embalmer.

I grew up in Galva, Illinois and had moved around a bit before landing in Galesburg, Illinois for work and school. I enjoy going out on walks with my three legged husky named Baymax, going to various concerts, and spending time in my recording studio as a hobby working on making music.

I look forward to getting to know these communities more and serving them with honor and dignity.
