Ralph E. Anglin, 95, of Kewanee, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Arcadia Care Hospice in Kewanee. He was born in Hammond, Illinois on July 1, 1930, the son of Fred Ralph and Erma Fern (Mechling) Anglin. He married Beverly Joyce Ryan on April 2, 1955; she preceded him in death on February 7, 2015.
Ralph is survived by sons, Kim (Peggy) Anglin of Durham, NC, Kevin (Leta) Anglin, of Little Rock, AR, and Mike (Angela) Anglin of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Julia (Robert) Sears, Neal Anglin, Elizabeth Anglin, Amy (Eric) Scott, Emily Anglin, Anna (Dara) Thoey, Christopher (Chelsea) Anglin, Stephen (Hannah) Anglin, Sr.; great-grandchildren, Jack and Evan Sears, Rosie Anglin, Rebekah (Roy) Lewallen, MaryBeth (Landon) Huggins, Nicolas Anglin, Andrea Thoey, and Stephen Anglin, Jr; great-great-grandchildren, Annabelle Green and Beck and Remy Huggins; brother, Marvin (Maria) Anglin, New Mexico; and sister, Virginia Ward, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Rebekah Easterday; and siblings, Freida, Marie, Jean, Phyllis, Carl, and Melvin.
Ralph served his country with the Army from 1951 to 1953 and was a member of the VFW Mineral Post, American Legion. He worked for John Deere in Moline, IL and VanPacker in Buda, IL.
He enjoyed spending time watching sporting events at Wethersfield High School, particularly men’s football and women’s volleyball. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors by fishing the lake at Windmont park or tending to his garden.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of funeral service on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home in Kewanee. Funeral will be at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the funeral home. Chaplain Jordan Knight will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council.
